Method

Understand before you act.

Diagnose before prescribing is our internal discipline. In practice it means a repeatable system: understand, diagnose, decide, execute, measure, learn and adapt.

The seven stages

A living decision system, not a process diagram.

Understand → Diagnose → Decide → Execute → Measure → Learn → Adapt. Scroll through the system and see how each stage earns the next.

  1. 01 · Understand

What is happening, and what might be causing it?

We review objectives, performance, customer evidence, market context and constraints. The output is a shared, written picture of the business as it actually is — including what we cannot yet know.

  2. 02 · Diagnose

What sits behind the visible problem?

We distinguish symptoms from constraints, test competing explanations and state what the evidence supports. Diagnosis is an internal discipline, not a service we force the client to buy.

  3. 03 · Decide

What deserves attention, testing or investment?

We separate the things that would change the business from the things that would merely change a chart, then prioritise by commercial impact, confidence and cost to find out.

  4. 04 · Execute

Do the work that is genuinely required.

The capability follows the problem: media, search, conversion, creative, measurement — or none of them, if the constraint sits somewhere marketing cannot reach.

  5. 05 · Measure

Did the work change the business outcome that justified it?

Channel metrics explain mechanics. We connect them to the commercial outcome, document uncertainty and make sure the measurement can carry the decision being asked of it.

  6. 06 · Learn

Use the results to improve the next decision.

Results are read against the original reasoning, not just the target. Assumptions that survived, assumptions that failed, and what that changes about the next investment.

  7. 07 · Adapt

What should change in the next cycle?

Learning becomes a new decision: continue, adjust, stop or investigate again. The system compounds because each cycle begins with more signal than the last.

What this changes

Why the order matters commercially.

Skipping to execution is faster and often more comfortable. It is also where most wasted budget originates.

Fewer, better bets

Prioritisation is a financial act. Choosing three things means declining twelve, and the declined twelve are where the savings live.

Evidence you can argue with

Recommendations arrive with the reasoning attached, so your team can challenge the logic rather than the conclusion.

Compounding decisions

Each cycle produces a documented answer. Over a year, the value is the accumulated understanding, not any single campaign.

Financial ethic

Client resources deserve scrutiny.

Budget is the obvious one. It is rarely the most expensive one.

  • Marketing budget
  • Leadership time
  • Team capacity
  • Opportunity cost
  • Customer trust

Every recommendation we make should survive the question: would we spend our own money this way, for this reason, at this stage?

Where AI fits

A working tool, not a reason to hire us.

We use AI to accelerate research, analysis, creative production and internal workflow. It expands how much ground we can cover and how quickly we can test an idea. It does not decide what your business should do next, and it is not the argument for choosing BizFay — the reasoning is.
